Consultant - Actuarial

Overview:
Major consulting firm seeks a Consultant - Actuarial for a Health and Welfare position in the Boston area. As a member of the firm's Health and Welfare practice, you will play a key role in providing health and welfare expertise to the firm's Health and Welfare consulting team responsible for providing consulting services to employer groups, health care organizations, and insurance companies. Responsibilities include business development and health care plan analysis.

Responsibilities:
Work with Senior Consultant of the Health and Welfare practice in the design, marketing, and analysis of health care plans (HMO,PPO, and EPO) disability, dental and long term care.

Provide healthcare expertise and support in middle market business development for employer groups.

Assist in the preparation of cost projections, utilization/reserve analysis for middle market employer groups.

Support the Senior Consultant in all initiatives and projects.

Requirements:
Successful completion of three/ four Actuarial exams and knowledge of health care and the insurance industries. BA or BS degree required.

Salary/Benefits:
$75,000 - $100,000 salary plus bonus and benefits.
