Senior Consultant - Actuarial

Overview:
Major consulting firm seeks a Senior Consultant - Actuarial for a Health and Welfare position in the Boston area. As a key member of the firm's Health and Welfare practice, you will play a critical role in providing health and welfare expertise to the firm's Health and Welfare consulting team responsible for providing consulting services to employer groups, health care organizations, and insurance companies. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including project management, healthcare cost projections, utilization analysis, and development and analysis of benefit plan designs.

Responsibilities:
Work with Director and Managing Partner of the Health and Welfare practice in the design, marketing, and analysis of health care plans (HMO, PPO, and EPO) disability, dental and long term care.

Provide healthcare and FASB 106 expertise.

Scope out and manage major projects.

Prepare cost projections, utilization/reserve analysis for middle market employer groups.

Support the Director and Managing Partner in all initiatives including attending meeting with clients.

Requirements:
ASA designation required. Knowledge of health care, FASB 106 and the insurance industry. BA or BS degree required.

Salary/Benefits:
$130,000 - $150,000 salary plus bonus and benefits.
